With Mega Man Star Force still pending a release in the West, it seems almost negligent to be getting into details for its sequel. But the Japanese feel enough time has gone by, and thus a recently released Ryuusei no Rockman book includes an interview with series director Masahiro Yasuma about Ryuusei no Rockman 2. Here are the main points from the interview, courtesy Fireman.
-The game's protagonist will naturally still be Subaru, and he still hangs with the same crowd. -The Brother Band system will still play a big role in the game. -There will be new, more advanced transformations. -An element similar to Area Steal from the EXE/BN series will allow for more movement in battles. -Though not exactly like Enzan/Chaud or Forte/Bass, a strong rival character is being planned. -Wi-Fi battling is planned to be included. -The game's production is roughly 30% complete.
